The use of automatic control valve is more energy-saving and more safe and reliable. Compared with the traditional manual valve, the moving speed is faster than the ordinary valve, which not only reduces the manpower, but also greatly improves the working efficiency. Compared with the pneumatic valve, the electric valve has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation, and easy to solve the power source (power supply or air source) of the remote operation point. The disadvantage is that the price is higher, and the explosion-proof requirements are also higher. In selection, factors such as availability, price and control requirements of power source shall be considered comprehensively.

Generally, the valve material, valve diameter, medium type, pipeline pressure, connection mode, control mode, medium temperature and other parameters shall be confirmed first. Type selection of electric valve: when selecting electric valve (the control mode of electric actuator is generally divided into switch type and regulation type), in addition to the basic requirements of valve body diameter, pressure, material, etc., the following parameters shall also be provided:

1. Power parameters (including voltage, phase number and frequency); 2. Operation time and form of electric actuator; 3. Whether explosion-proof and explosion-proof grade are required; 4. Atmospheric protection level; 5. Overload protection requirements, such as over travel protection, over torque protection, etc.; 6. Local operation requirements, such as whether local operation handwheel is provided; 7. Operation indication requirements. Selection of pneumatic valve: when selecting pneumatic valve (the operation principle of pneumatic actuator can be divided into single action and double action), in addition to determining the specific parameters such as valve body diameter, pressure, material, etc., the following parameters shall also be provided: 1. Air source parameters (including air source pressure range, whether with self-contained air tank, etc.) 2. Operation time and form of pneumatic actuator 3. Whether explosion-proof and explosion-proof level is required; 4. Atmospheric protection level; 5. Overload protection requirements, such as over travel protection and over torque protection; 6. Local operation requirements, such as whether local operation handwheel is provided; 7. Operation indication requirements.

With the development of industrial automation, the demand for electric (pneumatic) valves is increasing, and the control requirements for electric (pneumatic) valves are becoming more and more detailed and complex.
